First aid training
THSA has experience of working with large multi-site organisations and is able to schedule and be flexible in order to provide a prompt, efficient service.
THSA has provided first aid training for c. 900 employees over a 24 month period to a nationwide maintenance facility company working for local councils and housing associations. Training was provided across the UK from the borders of Scotland down to the South of England.
Testimonial from open first aid EFAW course:
Thank you for the First Aid course last week. It was a completely new environment for our delegates who were both nervous - but both agreed it was an informative training day and well worth them both attending to gain the knowledge and experience”. Mick Toyne Engineering
Health and Safety Bespoke Seminar/Training
THSA preapred and presented a bespoke seminar in Germany to a international company where 100 delegates from all areas of the globe attended. The seminar was on Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations, with specific emphasis on a recent accident which had resulted in the amputation of the injured person's foot. The seminar included a practical demonstration of engineering principles and forces applicable to lifting operation, using audience participation.
Other training courses on various health and safety issues have been developed to clients requirements, e.g. health & safety and aggresive behaviour for a housing maintenance company.
Forklift Truck Operator training
As THSA instructors come to your site to provide the training, we are able to understand your business requirements. We use your truck, your yard, and your sample pallets/lifting materials, which enables the candidate the opportunity to put the knowledge to first-hand use in their working environment.
At the end of the training, a debrief is personally given to your nominated manager by our Instructor to discuss the training, candidates' abilities and any issues that may have arisen. Our clients find this debrief a valuable part of the training.
Health and Safety

This covered set up of policies, employee training, transport/vehicular risk assessments, fire risk assessments, baling operations planning and risk assessments, and assistance with ensuring local exhaust ventilation and noise issues were within the legal limits. Regular visits to monitor and meetings with management and staff to explain and provide assistance in carrying out the operations of the business in a safe manner.
